Privacy policy

How SpaCompass handles your information

This policy explains what information the site collects, why it is used and the choices available to you.

Who is responsible

SpaCompass is responsible for personal information collected through this website. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@spacompass.co.uk.

Information we collect

  • Planner information: your answers, a generated session identifier and the recommendation results shown to you.
  • Campaign and click information: referral details, campaign parameters and product-link clicks, where available.
  • Contact information: your email address if you submit it, and any information you include in an enquiry.
  • Technical records: basic server and security logs created when the site is used.

How we use it

Information is used to operate and improve the planner, understand which pages and campaigns are useful, maintain site security, respond to enquiries and provide updates that a visitor has asked to receive.

Our lawful bases

We rely on legitimate interests where information is needed to operate, protect and assess the website in a way visitors would reasonably expect. Where you choose to receive email updates, we rely on your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us.

Browser storage

The site may use local or session storage in your browser to remember campaign attribution during your visit. This does not create a SpaCompass account. You can remove stored information through your browser settings.

Sharing and retention

Information may be processed by hosting and technical service providers that help run the site, or disclosed where required by law. SpaCompass does not sell personal information. Records are kept only for as long as they are reasonably needed for the purposes described above, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of use or an objection to certain processing. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Contact us first at hello@spacompass.co.uk and we will help with your request.

Automated recommendations

The planner uses rule-based processing to suggest suitable product types. It does not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy when the site's features or service providers change. The current version will always be published here.
